Cost of Living

Is it just me or does it seem like prices for regular items (groceries, soap, etc.) are going up again? My wife and I went shopping for our monthly staples the other day and I was shocked at how prices have gone up even from last month. What are your thoughts? How are you saving money with your bills?

I’ve found the stores that require you to bag your own groceries, put in a quarter for a shopping cart,etc. such as No Frills and Aldi’s offer significant savings. We try to buy mostly off-brand items, as well. Planning meals ahead seems to help, as well. We still struggle sometimes with the temptation to eat out if I don’t have something planned for dinner.
